HYPNOSIS

Hypnosis is a therapeutic technique that involves inducing a state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility in an individual. It is a natural state of altered consciousness that can be accessed through relaxation techniques and guided imagery. In this state, individuals are more open to suggestions and have an increased capacity to focus on specific thoughts, images, or sensations.

During a hypnosis session, a trained professional, often referred to as a hypnotherapist, guides the individual into a relaxed state and utilizes various techniques to engage their imagination and promote positive change. These techniques may include suggestions, visualizations, and affirmations tailored to the individual’s goals or therapeutic needs.

Contrary to popular misconceptions, hypnosis is not a state of unconsciousness or mind control. The individual remains fully aware of their surroundings and has the ability to accept or reject suggestions. Hypnosis is a collaborative process where the individual actively participates in their own healing or personal development.

Reiki and energy healing are alternative healing modalities that focus on channeling and balancing energy within the body to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. While they have similarities, they are distinct practices.

Reiki: Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that involves the transfer of universal life force energy through the practitioner’s hands to the recipient. The word “Reiki” translates to “universal life energy” (rei) and “vital energy” or “spirit” (ki). The practitioner acts as a conduit for this healing energy, which is believed to flow through energy centers or channels in the body, promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and self-healing.

During a Reiki session, the recipient usually lies down fully clothed, and the practitioner gently places their hands on or near specific areas of the body. The energy is believed to balance and harmonize the recipient’s energy system, supporting the body’s natural healing processes. Reiki is considered non-invasive and gentle, focusing on promoting a sense of peace, balance, and overall well-being.
